    Flatiron Peak

    The hike to Flatiron Peak is an amazingly, challenging trail. It is a moderate 5.5 hike, that takes about 6 hours to complete. The first time I visited I captured this amazing picture at dawn. But it was not until the second visit that I completed the hike up to the top. The journey starts at Siphon Draw Trailhead, where the gravel road will take you along the boundary of the park and then up in between the two peaks.     Mogollon Rim

    I found this location while browsing the map of Arizona, looking for hidden gems. And I hit the jackpot! What actually drew me to this location was Woods Canyon Lake, nestled in between a thick brush of Ponderosa Pine. There is a small marina and a privately owned shop that sells goods and offers small boat rentals. You can bring your own boat if you wish, but the lake is restricted to electric motors only.
